Welcome!
Hello from the Riley family, operators of historic Los Rios Rancho and Riley's Frontier Events.
We hope you take a moment to view online what we do up here in the beautiful hills of Oak Glen; from farming apples to hosting and performing for private and public special themed events to making apple products like our high top apple pies and of course—fresh pressed apple cider. Every year we see tens of thousands of visitors eager to experience rural farm life and the beautiful surroundings thru our u-pick apple orchard visits, frontier tours and The Wildlands Conservancy’s multiple hiking trails always available to the public.
This winter we are busy pruning our apple trees and preparing for an upcoming busy spring season of tours and events as the farm work continues. Come on up and enjoy a trip to our country store and Bakery/Barbeque. We are currently open 10 to 5, Wednesday thru Sunday and on most holidays. Have a look at our calendar for our public events and crop schedule. We hope you visit us soon and see why we say we make history everyday.
HAPPENIN' REGULARLY:
Hometown Jamboree
( first Saturday of each month May-Nov)
On the first Saturday of each month (from May to November), Riley's at Los Rios Rancho puts on an old-time music variety show, just like those great old radio and t.v. shows of the 40s and 50s. There’s one difference — we throw in a hearty family-style dinner to boot! Come on up for some chicken and pickin’! At our reasonable Adult ($15) and Kid ($10) prices, it’s the best meal – and deal – around.
Doors open at 6PM
Gospel Night
(3rd Friday of Each Month Jan-Nov)
Hankering to hear – and lift your voice in – some good old down-home gospel hymns? Come gather with us in the old packing shed and enjoy music, refreshments, and fellowship as the Riley family – along with a slew of guest singers and musicians – lead the assembly in traditional gospel music. Admission is free; a love offering will be taken. Requests are welcome, so dust off your old hymnals and tote 'em along
Free Gospel Sing - with optional potluck at 6:30PM,
Gospel Sing at 7PM
Contra Dance!
(4th Friday of Each Month Jan-Nov)
Ready to kick up your heels on the Los Rios dance floor? You won't have to wait long! Come on up for our monthly Contra Dance. The cost is only $10 ($7 with a valid student I.D. card) & we give free lessons to ticketholders at 6:30 p.m., right before the dance begins at 7:00 p.m. This is always a really fun event. Light refreshments are served.
